The team is responsible for protecting one of the most sensitive pieces of data you can think of: cryptographic keys and secrets. The team provides highly available, fault-tolerant PKI, encryption APIs, and secrets management services that are leveraged across Client to protect sensitive information. You'll develop new features, fix issues, respond to internal customer feedback, and create documentation, while collaborating with product management and other members of the team.

Expectations:
\n
- \n
- Design, build, orchestrate, and deploy secure, highly scalable REST-based stateless APIs and web services for the secrets management platform.
- \n
- Develop new features and fix issues, applying applied security concepts (authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10 Risks) throughout design and implementation.
- \n
- Work across SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra) data stores backing the platform.
- \n
- Engage in issue triage and collaborate closely with client and engineering teams to rapidly address integration challenges.
- \n
- Create and refine technical documentation and intuitive self-service resources.
- \n
- Collaborate proactively with internal Crypto Services teams to help direct the roadmap and features of the platform.
- \n
- Follow and adhere to team and Crypto Services engineering and development standards.
- \n

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Strong object-oriented design and development experience (JVM languages a plus).
- \n
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- \n
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database technology.
- \n
- Experience building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable REST-based stateless APIs / web services.
- \n
- Knowledge of applied security concepts (authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10 Risks).
- \n
- Solid understanding of both front-end (e.g. Angular) and back-end technologies.
- \n
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- \n
- Proactive self-starter with the proven ability to context-shift with minimal direction and support various tasks at different stages of delivery.
- \n

Preferred:

- Knowledge of PKI fundamentals and applied cryptography.
- \n
- Experience with distributed NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra) and high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.
- \n
- Exposure to regulated environments or privacy-sensitive, security-critical applications.
- \n
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent; Master's a plus.

Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr
\n

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
