Truelio is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Software Services team. This is a hands-on development role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of software, not simply completing assigned tickets.
You will work across mobile applications, backend services, databases, integrations, and internal systems that support both our clients and our own operations. Our client-facing software is increasingly centered around mobile applications, with React Native playing an important role in our technology stack. Just as important are the APIs, databases, integrations, background processes, and operational systems behind those applications.
We are looking for someone who can understand how a system works, diagnose problems when it does not, and take responsibility for getting it working correctly.
What You'll Do
• Design, build, maintain, and support production software used by our clients and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Build and support backend applications and APIs using C# and .NET.
• Work extensively with SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting queries, stored procedures, data integrations, and database-driven processes.
• Investigate production issues across applications, services, databases, and third-party integrations.
• Own problems through resolution rather than simply handing them off when they cross a technical boundary.
• Maintain and improve existing systems while also contributing to new application development.
• Build and support integrations with external APIs, services, and client systems.
• Work with our account and project management teams to deliver day-to-day deliverables for our clients.
• Review code and work collaboratively with other engineers to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Identify recurring problems, technical debt, and practical opportunities to simplify or improve our systems.
• Write appropriate automated tests and help improve development and deployment processes.
