Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math, plus 1 year of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer forGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems(GDMS), youll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible fordevelopment andmaintenance ofcommand and controlanddata processingsystems.You will be responsibletodesign, implement, document, andimplementon programs supporting our national security.The positionprovides the opportunity forclose collaborationwith systems, mechanical, and electrical teams.

• Developing applications in C, C++/STL, Java, or JavaScript
• Developing in both Linux and Windows environments
• Workingin a team,demonstrated bywrittenandverbal communication skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in Linux and Windows application development usingany of the following:C, C++/STL, Java,JavaScript,with some C# and GUI development frameworks.
• Takes pride in well documented designs andcode.
• Knowledgeable in design concepts such as UML, model driven development and test driven design
• Knowledgeableinat least one common testing framework, such as JUnit
• Experience usingsoftware tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (e.g.,Eclipse,Visual Studio), version control (e.g.,GitLab, Subversion), and task management (e.g.,JIRA)

Combined Salary Range

USD $85,807.00 - USD $95,193.00 /Yr.
