Software Engineer - Healthcare SaaS

Symmetrio is recruiting a Software Engineer Consultant for a healthcare technology company focused on improving cancer care through innovative SaaS solutions. This is a full-stack development role involving application development, healthcare systems integration, APIs, databases, and middleware. The engineer will work closely with a small development team to design, build, test, release, and maintain SaaS solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development experience with .NET/C#, Angular/TypeScript, SQL Server or Azure SQL, and RESTful APIs. Healthcare systems integration experience is highly desirable, particularly with FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, or B2B APIs. They will have a passion for problem-solving, enthusiasm for learning and applying the latest development tools and technologies, and the ability to thrive in an Agile development environment

This onsite, contract-to-hire position is based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and requires working in the office five days per week. The initial contract is six months, with the potential for an extension or conversion to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Annualized compensation of $120,000.00- $ 140,000.00, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces based on complex UI/UX requirements.
• Apply modern frontend development practices, with Redux experience considered a plus.
• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Translate end-user needs into practical and effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, brainstorming sessions, and product development initiatives.
• Design and develop applications ranging from straightforward workflows to complex business logic.
• Collaborate with team members to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Deliver high-quality, performant solutions within established timelines.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and collaborate with developers to address complex challenges.
• Work effectively within an Agile and change-controlled development environment while following established best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive healthcare information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of frontend development experience, with a focus on Angular v12+.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture, design patterns, and responsive web design.
• Experience with NgRx, state management, and reactive programming.
• Experience developing reusable and maintainable component libraries.
• Extensive experience with RESTful services, API development, and integration.
• Strong understanding of client-side validation, form management, JSON, and data transformation.
• Experience with .NET and C#.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum.
• Familiarity with source control, configuration management, software modeling, and testing tools.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability and systems integration is preferred.
• Experience with FHIR and SMART on FHIR is highly desirable;
• Experience developing and supporting B2B Web APIs is preferred.
• Knowledge of HL7v2 messaging and healthcare data exchange is preferred.
•  Healthcare IT experience, including familiarity with clinical data and workflows, is a plus.
