Description

Software Engineer I positions offered by WarnerMedia Services, LLC (Bellevue, Washington). Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and improve backend services that drive content discovery and personalization for millions of users. Contribute to the development and evolution of services that index, enrich, and serve metadata for our content catalog across devices and regions. Operate cloud-native services at scale, using technologies like Java, Kotlin, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL. Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews to both give and receive feedback. Help troubleshoot issues in development and production environments identify root causes and improve system reliability. Work with distributed systems, observability, deployment workflows, and software engineering best practices. Take part in sprint planning, standups, and team discussions.


• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Education, training, or experience must include:

     o Performing backend programming with Java or Kotlin

o Working with distributed systems and RESTful APIs

o Working with cloud platforms (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, or relational databases 

o Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code

• Position reports to Bellevue, WA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $122,549 - $140,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
