About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Full Stack Software Engineer in our Store Support Center (099). The Software Engineer Level I candidate must have beginner-intermediate level experience with OOP (object-oriented programming) techniques and design patterns on the web and mobile application platforms. The ideal candidate should have exposure to enterprise-level applications using an n-tier approach to include high availability technologies and will have a beginner-level understanding of the .NET framework and related Microsoft technologies. This role provides an opportunity to work on enterprise applications supporting hundreds of stores, distribution operations, merchandising, and digital business initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide support to the IT department and corporate office.
• Initiate code review process for each deployment within the team.
• Assist with implementing established architectural and design patterns and support the development of reusable components and libraries that benefit the company and software development team.
• Assist in documenting and defining solutions through technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and maintainable code.
• Assist with the maintenance, support, testing, documentation, and development of applications.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and validation of software solutions.
• Help upgrade existing software or applications.
• Assist with writing and maintaining code.
• Work on minor bug fixes.
• Analyze user requirements and business needs.
• Aid in the design and documentation of formal solutions.
• Support development plans and procedures, and the implementation of new and/or enhanced applications.
• Continuous learning of technical skills by studying development tools and programming techniques; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
• Understanding of software development and implementation lifecycle.
• Ability to complete work assignments with guidance and mentoring from more advanced level team members.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you'll need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Introductory level skills for application debugging and technical problem solving.
• Exposure to the following technologies:
• .NET/NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Entity Framework, SQL
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development frameworks

(React, Angular, Blazor, or similar).

• Experience with Git-based source control systems.
• Basic understanding of the MVC/MVVM design patterns.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or other DevOps technologies.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Enthusiastic and willing to work in a team-oriented, collaborative Agile SCRUM environment.
• Strong customer-service orientation and a professional demeanor.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
