Description: The Software Engineer position will be responsible for hands-on development as well as lead the development of Next Generation Enterprise solutions for Global eCommerce. SE will be responsible for application development in support of the multi-platform roadmap. Responsible for application architecture, ensure high performance, scalability and availability for those applications. Areas of responsibility include:* Experience supporting IBM Sterling Application• Develop Batch Jobs using Java and SQL.• Troubleshoot business and production issues• Alerting and Monitoring Subject Matter Expert (Splunk, Dynatrace, and other Enterprise Logging Tools)• Develops Innovation strategies, processes, failover experience• Experience in driving high availability across multiple applications• Act quickly to analyze the available data and find the root cause of the problem when issues with the product arise• Develop a solution themselves or pass the problem on to other engineering team members, all the while providing users with progress updates.• Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.• System and Production Support status reporting.- Influence decisions, builds consensus, and resolves conflicts constructively and proactively- Supports business objectives and ensures the business needs are being met Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce Software development- 2+ years of experience with Supporting /Developing IBM Sterling Commerce- 5+ years of experience with Open Source technologies- 4+ years of developing / architecting high transaction high throughput systems is a must- 2+ years of experience with integrating 3rd party solutions in existing architecture Additional Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
