JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
INDUSTRY: Financial Services
LOCATION: Carmel, IN
SUMMARY
Theoris is assisting our client who is seeking two Software Engineers to join a dedicated team focused on reducing a critical Real Estate compliance backlog. These engineers will work closely with a Senior Engineer and Product Owner to investigate production issues, implement enhancements, resolve compliance-related defects, and improve operational stability.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working within complex enterprise systems where business impact is visible and measurable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate and resolve application defects and compliance-related issues
- Develop and test enhancements within a .NET application environment
- Analyze SQL Server data and troubleshoot application behavior
- Support root-cause analysis efforts for production issues
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, QA, and Engineering teams
- Participate in backlog grooming, estimation, and sprint planning activities
- Document technical findings and implementation details
- Assist with testing and deployment validation
- Maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-7 years of software development experience
- Experience with .NET and C#
- SQL Server experience including querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting production applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with enterprise business systems
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Insurance, mortgage, lending, or financial services experience
- Experience with integrations, batch processing, or data matching workflows
- Azure DevOps or Jira experience
- Experience in compliance or regulated business environments
- Automated testing experience
- Exposure to legacy modernization initiatives
