he RIS Store Technology organization is seeking a mid-level software engineering role responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support 7-Eleven's store technology operations. The role works collaboratively with tech-managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality applications, improve system performance, resolve production issues, and contribute to technical design decisions. This role is expected to write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and follow engineering best practices while helping drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Design and implement software features and enhancements.

• Develop, test, and deploy reliable, scalable applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

• Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.

• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.

• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.

• Contribute to CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

• YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 6+ years

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.

• 5+ years of ReactJS and Node experience.

• Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, integration patterns, and secure software development.

• Advanced cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and platform engineering experience.

• Experience in JavaScript and supporting technologies such as TypeScript and NPM

• Experience in building solutions on top of AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3 and others

• Experience working in AWS technologies like CloudFront, SNS, SES, SQS, Cloud Formation

• Experience in development of Unit Test cases and Testing frameworks and scripting

• Strong experience of building RESTful web services

Application Development & Architecture: Node.js, React, Windows Application Development, REST APIs, Spring Framework, JSON, MongoDB, NoSQL Databases, Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Distributed Systems, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Domain-Driven Design

Cloud & Platform Engineering: AWS, Azure, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, S3, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, Kinesis, Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes

DevOps & Observability: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, DevOps, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Loki, New Relic, CloudWatch

Methodologies & Delivery: Agile, SAFe Agile, CI/CD, SDLC
