The ;Infrastructure Engineering organization ;develops services and tools to enable, support, and optimize software development processes and practices for Chewy engineers. In this role, you will develop new customer-facing features, enhance existing systems with automation, and improve observability of business applications that power the e-commerce platform and beyond. Further, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across the engineering organization to deliver self-service solutions which empower internal customers to move rapidly while building on Chewy's enterprise platforms.;;;;;What You'll Do:;;;;;Apply algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to build scalable and performant code;;;;;Architect a resilient system for a customer-facing web application from scratch ; ;;;;Partner with stakeholders and technology teams on how to best implement desired customer features and enhancements;;;;;Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development;;;;;Collaborate with Team Members to drive automated solutions to standardize methodologies, workflows, reusable modules, and tooling;;;;Contribute to team's standard processes for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitors, alerts, practices, and processes;;;;;Conduct design and code reviews and raise the bar on engineering rigor and standard ;;;;;;You will participate in setting guidelines for evolving development practices, as well as mentoring junior engineers;;;;;Actively participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, planning, demos and retrospective;;;;Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting production issues and improving operational excellence;;;;;;;What You'll Need:;;;;;Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar; or equivalent experience;;;;3+ years of ;Java ;programming experience;;;;3+ years of experience with ;AWS ;cloud platforms;;;;3+ years of programming experience with frontend technologies like React, Typescript, NodeJS;;;;Ability to think independently and break down product requirements into well-defined tasks;;;;Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure development efforts align with stakeholder needs;;;;Experience in monitoring production environment, troubleshooting, triaging and addressing production issues;;;;Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool;;;;;Experience with IaC, Terraform or similar ;;;;;;Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systems ; ;;;;;;;Bonus:;;;;;Experience in e-commerce;;;;Experience in Python;;;;Experience with modern tools and environments (e.g. version control systems, bug/issue tracking tools);;;; ;; ;;;;The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
