Software Engineer II, .NET / Blazor Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $67.71 per hour
Contract Duration: September 1, 2026, through November 13, 2026
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Our client is seeking three experienced Software Engineer II professionals to join a high performing development team supporting mission critical applications for a Texas state agency. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building modern web applications, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
 
If you have strong experience with C#, .NET, Blazor, SQL, and full stack web application development, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while working with an experienced development team.
 
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise web applications.
  • Build modern front end and back-end solutions using C#, .NET, Blazor, HTML5, CSS, SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Develop and optimize stored procedures and database components.
  • Analyze business requirements and collaborate with analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Support and enhance existing applications while ensuring software remains current and secure.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including planning, development, testing, demonstrations, and deployment.
  • Develop and support mobile applications using Visual Studio, .NET Core 9.0, and DevExpress, including secure payment functionality.
  • Recommend improvements to application architecture, development processes, and system performance.
 
Required Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience developing web-based software applications.
  • 4 years of programming experience with technologies such as:
    • C#
    • .NET
    • HTML / HTML5
    • JavaScript
    • CSS
    • SQL
    • Oracle
    • SQL Server
    • Stored Procedures
  • Experience performing software troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Experience gathering requirements and presenting software demonstrations to business users.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tools.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing applications using C# .NET Blazor.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience migrating Java or Windows Forms applications to C# .NET Blazor.
  • Knowledge of responsive web design best practices.
  • Experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Previous experience supporting Texas Department of Agriculture applications.
