Description Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization, which orchestrates end-to-end supply chain decisions from inventory planning to pricing to sourcing, is seeking a software engineer to join our newly formed team. This team will focus on supply chain operations by deploying autonomous agents that accelerate metric analysis, uncover hidden patterns, and automate operational deep dive tasks-fundamentally transforming how we scale, and evolve our supply chain systems. By harnessing generative AI and machine learning , we're building the next generation of intelligent supply chain infrastructure. In this role, you will design and deploy AI systems/agents that drive intelligent and accelerated decision-making that transforms how Amazon delivers to millions of customers globally. You will build Gen AI technologies with robust AWS services to build high-performance, enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate with product managers, and engineers across the organization to seamlessly integrate business requirements into working solutions. Key job responsibilities - Significant contributor to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance - Active in operational support for your team, identifying and resolving root causes of operational issues - Active in code review process, providing meaningful feedback to others, including more senior engineers - Balance customer requirements with team requirements - Take on projects where the business problem and technology strategy are well understood but implementations need to be fleshed out - Mentor and help develop others; participate in recruiting and interviewing for your team A day in the life Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Knowledge of general AI tools - Experience building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
