Job Description


We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database systems, software design, and full SDLC practices and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and database solutions that meet defined scope and constraints.


Responsibilities:



* Modify existing databases and database management systems.

* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers, or direct others in coding descriptions.

* Collaborate with a project team to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations.

* Review project requests, document user needs, and estimate time and cost to complete projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



* Proficiency with database and systems development tools such as SQL and Visual Basic or similar technologies.

* Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently, manage time, and provide basic mentoring and constructive feedback.

* Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from analysis and requirements through testing and delivery.

* Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement system changes as needed.

* Working knowledge of computer hardware and software fundamentals.

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:



* Experience designing or optimizing operating systems-level or network distribution software.

* Background with applications across medical, industrial, communications, aerospace, business, or scientific domains.
