Minimum qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in C and Rust.
Preferred qualifications Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience developing accessible technologies.
About the job Googles software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect explore and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer you will work on a specific project critical to Googles needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities deadlines and deliverables. You will design develop test deploy maintain and enhance software solutions.
Fuchsia is a modern open source operating system that is simple secure updatable and performant. Its a general purpose OS designed to power an ecosystem of hardware and software and provides core operating system functions like system resource management a driver framework and software abstractions.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is 147000-211000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Design and develop driver features focusing on WLAN Bluetooth and UWB. Write review and maintain Python-based end-to-end tests that run in Fuchsias infra connectivity test lab. Contribute to the next generation of infra device architecture for Fuchsia connectivity. Implement and monitor device metrics for crashes performance and feature rollout success. Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and performance of our software stack.
