Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.LOB Position Summary:This role is for a Regional Lead Software Engineer III of Pricing & Quoting Technology and will oversee the strategic direction, governance, and delivery of the implementation of our global equity derivatives pricing platform. This includes leadership of the pricing architecture, roadmap execution, and the end to end request for quote (RFQ) workflow used by Sales and Trading, along with connectivity to external market platforms. This role ensures regional alignment with global strategy while shaping local innovation, ensuring resilience, scalability, and competitive advantage in electronic and voice driven derivatives trading. Candidates will be proficient in software design focused around a cross-language REST based n-tier architecture and executed using agile methodologies (Scrum, Test Driven Development, unit/integration testing, pair programming, etc). The successful candidate will be comfortable driving design and architecture, rationalizing business requirements and mentoring less experienced developers. There will be significant interaction with senior developers across other work streams as we integrate an increasingly complex product set.Responsibilities:Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirementsDesigns, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintainedMentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stackExecutes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecyclePerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasAutomates manual release activitiesDesigns, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)Development of a thorough understanding of our entire technology stackDesign and development of new features in the existing java server stack, C# client and QZContribution to future design and architecturePlanning work in an agile manner with other team membersWriting acceptance tests in coordination with QACommunication with our business and platform partnersImprovement and development of our CI pipeline and deployment strategiesRequired Qualifications:7+ years of applicable technology experienceProficient and experienced in either Java or C# - Full Stack Developer / familiarity with the other a bonusSQL - preferably Oracle Unix knowledgeProficient in writing unit, integration and acceptance testsComfortable in an agile working environmentSelf-starter and proactive Desired Qualifications:Equity Derivatives, DevExpress, Python, C#, JavaSkills:Application DevelopmentAutomationInfluenceSolution DesignTechnical Strategy DevelopmentArchitectureBusiness AcumenDevOps PracticesResult OrientationSolution Delivery ProcessAnalytical ThinkingCollaborationData ManagementRisk ManagementTest EngineeringShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40 Learn more about this role Apply × To proceed with your application, you must be at least 18 years of age.
