Description:
Summary
Software engineers focus heavily on database development, database management systems, and SQL-based system changes.
Modifies existing databases and develops logical/physical database descriptions and identifiers.
Works with project teams to define database requirements, scope, limitations, timelines, and costs.
Participates across the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, delivery, and troubleshooting.
The role supports an AI buildout, making familiarity with AI/agentic development potentially valuable, although these are listed as nice-to-haves.
Requires 5+ years of experience in the field or a similar field, with a bachelor's in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of software engineering or related experience
SQL / database development and database management systems
Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience with requirements gathering development, testing, and delivery
Troubleshooting and system changes to resolve technical issues
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Agentic development / AI development
Experience with Visual Basic or similar development technologies
