The Role
A leading financial services organization is looking for a Software Engineer in Test who is passionate about innovative technologies, frameworks, and design patterns. You will be joining a team of engineers focused on building testing solutions for the Financial Planning and Advice product area. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve enterprise software solutions.
You will also support your team in adopting standard methodologies to ensure the right product is being built the right way. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers in this environment take pride in their experience, leadership, and ability to establish strong relationships across teams.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
A Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software engineering or related field
6 to 9 years of experience in software test automation for application UIs, services/APIs, and data quality
Financial knowledge strongly advised
Experience in crafting and implementing robust QA strategies and test frameworks for API and Web applications, with deep expertise in end-to-end validation
Experience in test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, JUnit, Test NG, Maven)
Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins Core, LWC, Monorepo, etc.)
Experience with source control (GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket), Sourcetree)
Cloud experience preferred - Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Top skills needed: Angular, Playwright, Insomnia/Bruno, Xray, chaos, Splunk, Datadog, node.js, Java, Type Script, SQL, Swagger, Jira, Jenkins core
Exposure to new technologies and AI assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot
Good understanding of accessibility features and building and testing accessible experiences on Web
Focus on the deployment automation and orchestration
Assist with code branches, merges, builds pipelines, manage versioning etc.
Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security
Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks and CI/CD-integrated pipelines covering unit, component, integration, functional, and performance testing.
Ability to work independently under general direction, with a good sense of ownership and accountability
Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health
Obsession with delivering the best end-to-end customer experience
