• Own and drive delivery of large-scale initiatives by leading hands-on technical design, shaping application-level architectural decisions and ensuring successful transition from design through production support.
• Provide technical leadership for teams, mentoring and coaching engineers across levels, guiding design decisions, and helping shape a culture of continuous learning, quality, and engineering excellence.
• Maintain a significant hands-on software engineering role, including designing and implementing critical components, writing and reviewing production code, troubleshooting complex issues, and directly contributing to delivery alongside the team.
• Collaborate across business functions to translate strategic goals into cohesive engineering plans, influencing roadmaps and ensuring alignment across teams.
• Shape and advance engineering culture, standards, and best practices by modeling a hypothesis-driven, iterative approach and fostering a growth mindset across engineering teams.
• Demonstrate growth, staying current with emerging technologies, evaluating their applicability, making recommendations where appropriate, and supporting knowledge sharing across engineering.
• Lead design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning activities.
• Apply advanced and mature software engineering principles, including systems thinking, domain modeling, modular architecture, operational excellence, observability, performance optimization, and complex risk/dependency management, to guide system-level decision-making and influence technical direction across teams.
• Demonstrate and champion the established “TRUCKS” cultural principles of transparency, responsiveness and resiliency, understanding, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and simplicity throughout the organization.
• Occasional travel may be required based on Business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from four-year college or university; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering required.
• 4+ years of experience with Java or JavaScript Frameworks required.
• 8+ years of experience with Java or JavaScript Frameworks preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Rest API development and technologies preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in stateless design and containerization preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in relational and NoSQL databases preferred.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure preferred.
• Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

• Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
