Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Segmentation Service team. This team is responsible for building highly scalable, high-performance services that evaluate trillions of audience segments daily using real-time customer profile and event data. The role focuses on designing and developing scalable query engines, optimizing query execution, building distributed data processing pipelines, and solving complex algorithmic challenges. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java/Scala, distributed systems, query optimization, and large-scale data processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and enhance Adobe Experience Platform's high-performance Segmentation Engine.
- Own the architecture, design, and implementation of critical system components.
- Develop query compilation, transformation, and optimization algorithms for customer segmentation.
- Build advanced query evaluation capabilities including:
- Multi-query optimization
- Incremental evaluation
- Streaming evaluation
- Develop and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using Apache Spark.
- Build monitoring and debugging tools to analyze query performance and identify semantic issues.
- Deploy, monitor, and continuously improve production services based on customer feedback.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Follow Agile development practices and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to solving large-scale distributed systems and performance optimization challenges
Must-Have Skills:- Strong experience building scalable query engines or equivalent distributed processing systems.
- Excellent programming skills in Java or Scala.
- Strong understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures.
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale backend services.
- Knowledge of query compilation, query optimization, or compiler concepts.
- Experience with Apache Spark (preferred).
- Database fundamentals and query execution optimization experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
Industry Experience:- Candidate coming from Tech or SaaS industry are highly preferred
