Software Engineer (Full Stack .NET)

Location: Kingston, NY (hybrid - 3 days a week in office)
Salary: $75-120k depending on experience

Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry certifications required
Experience:2–5 years of full stack software development experience required
Skills: Experience with .NET (C#/.NET Core), TypeScript/JavaScript, modern JavaScript frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps/GitHub, Python, Kubernetes, and relational databases required

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join its growing Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys building modern applications, developing system integrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing high-quality code, improving development processes, and contributing to the long-term success of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer will include:

  • Design, develop, and support custom software applications and system integrations
  • Build scalable solutions using vendor APIs, SDKs, internal APIs, and cloud-based technologies
  • Ensure applications meet quality, security, usability, scalability, and maintainability standards
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, project teams, and product owners to define technical solutions
  • Develop reusable components, services, and frameworks for the engineering team
  • Participate in the development, deployment, and maintenance of production applications
  • Create and maintain CI/CD processes and deployment tooling
  • Work with leadership to help define product roadmaps and prioritize development efforts
  • Deliver software using iterative development and established coding standards
  • Contribute to software architecture, technical standards, and development best practices
  • Provide technical mentorship and support continuous improvement within the development team
  • Assist with maintaining the organization's software development lifecycle framework and internal development documentation

Qualifications for the role of Software Engineer:

Required:

  • 2–5 years of software development experience
  • Experience with .NET (C#/.NET Core)
  • Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte
  • Experience creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
  • Experience with Python development (such as Flask, Django, or Jinja)
  • Experience working with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar data technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container deployment
  • Working knowledge of AI coding assistants to improve development efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-recognized certifications

Preferred:

  • Experience designing and implementing gRPC and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security principles
  • Experience with OIDC and OAuth2 authentication and authorization
  • Experience with the ELK Stack for logging and observability
