Software Engineer Level 3 (1235) / ServiceNow developer Location: Orlando, FL, USA-Orlando-Florida-32825Duration: 03/23/2026 - 09/20/2026NotesMinimum 50-mile proximity to a major Lockheed Martin facility is requiredJob DescriptionPosition OverviewLockheed Martin seeks an experienced ServiceNow developer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) Module. The role supports IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity objectives while ensuring alignment with security, data-quality, and compliance standards. The engineer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and delivering end-to-end software solutions on the ServiceNow low-code platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesServiceNow BCM Implementation – Design, build, customize, and maintain the ServiceNow Business Continuity Management module to satisfy Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery requirements.
Low-Code Environment Management – Create and manage low-code development environments on ServiceNow, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub).
Full-Lifecycle Engineering – Conduct requirements gathering, design, coding, automated testing, debugging, deployment, and technical documentation throughout the SDLC.
Agile Collaboration – Participate in Scrum/Kanban sprints, work with stakeholders, track deliverables, and report progress in an Agile framework.
Compliance & Security – Partner with Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery teams to meet safety, security, data-quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
Technical Documentation – Produce design specifications, test plans, user guides, operating instructions, and detailed documentation of ServiceNow configurations and integrations.
Automation & Testing – Develop automated testing and deployment scripts (including Automated Test Framework) to streamline delivery.
Knowledge Management – Maintain Knowledge Articles related to functionality and support ServiceNow Incident, Request, and Knowledge Management processes.
Basic Qualifications- Citizenship – U.S. citizenship (required for potential security clearance).
- Education – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field (or higher).
- Professional Experience – Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with a BS (or 3 years with a Master's). At least 4 years of hands-on experience configuring, customizing, scripting, and developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, ServiceNow configuration of tables, fields, forms).
- Experience with ServiceNow core modules (ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, workflows/flows) and custom app development.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Action Designer, and Data Sources.
- Familiarity with low-code development and integration techniques on ServiceNow.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and as part of a remote-work team.
Preferred / Desired SkillsProgramming & Automation – Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, plus scripting/automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Data Management – Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases; cloud storage services (AWS?S3, Google Cloud Storage).
Process Improvement – Proven ability to identify, propose, and implement process improvements; experience presenting to leadership.
Testing Frameworks – Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
