Summary: 

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities for business or mission applications.

• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software containing logical and mathematical solutions to problems.

• Applies appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.

• Utilizes knowledge of computer hardware, software, and information processing techniques for software development.

• Corrects program errors and prepares operating instructions.

• Compiles documentation of program development and analyzes system capabilities.

• Resolves questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

• Ensures software standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

• Supports EGSE organization as a software engineer for modernization efforts.

• Collaborates with software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using Agile Development methodology.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, or TestStand.

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in automated test equipment software design.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Experience with product-lifecycle management and issue-tracking systems.

• Fundamental understanding of Python scripting language.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline.

• Preferred: Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test-software development (LabVIEW, C/C++, Python).
