    SOFTWARE ENGINEER (MAINFRAME, JAVA)

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION

    Seeking a Software Engineer with strong Java and Mainframe knowledge to support modernization efforts migrating legacy Mainframe systems to newer Java tech stack technologies. The role involves complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of mission-critical enrollment systems using COBOL and Java environments.

    MANDATORY SKILLS

    • 7+ years of software development experience including architecture, design, coding, and testing
    • Strong COBOL expertise in Mainframe environments — CICS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, ChangeMan, Topaz
    • Java development experience with unit/integration testing using JUnit/TestNG
    • Hands-on experience with Spring technologies — Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Integration
    • Experience with RESTful/SOA web services
    • Extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

    NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

    • Experience with API Management Tools
    • Experience with GIT/BitBucket

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience accepted)
