JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Owego, NY (Telework < 50%)
PAY RATE: $75 – $140/hour (No Overtime)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software solutions for business and mission applications

• Apply logical and mathematical principles to solve complex problems using programming languages

• Utilize appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle

• Analyze system capabilities to define program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and processing techniques

• Collaborate with system users and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop effective solutions

• Identify and correct program errors; prepare operating instructions and development documentation

• Ensure adherence to software engineering standards and best practices

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required

• Experience across the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, and deployment)

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, standards, and processes

• Experience with DO-178C, specifically DAL A (required)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated environments

• Experience working with mission-critical systems

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
