Job Summary

Join a global Developer Experience Engineering team dedicated to empowering over 1,600 software engineers with the tools, platforms, and services they need to build, test, secure, and deploy applications at scale. The team is organized into three squads including two engineering squads responsible for an internal platform called Unity, which enables engineers to take ideas from concept through code, testing, secure delivery, and cloud deployment. The team operates across U.S. and U.K. time zones (50/50 split) in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features for Unity, an internal engineering platform built with Java and Kotlin, integrating and extending best-in-class enterprise tools including GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, and Nexus for security vulnerability scanning
• Own the full software lifecycle design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based services with end-to-end accountability
• Build automation and dashboards using Python, including API integrations and data-driven operational tooling (endpoint calls, reporting)
• Strengthen the software delivery pipeline by implementing security improvements and proactively addressing vulnerabilities
• Contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployment activities, building, testing, and releasing new platform capabilities into AWS
• Integrate into a global Agile/Scrum team write user stories, participate in backlog refinement, and execute against sprint goals using Jira
• Provide rotating engineering support (approximately every 6 weeks), triaging tickets raised by internal software developers and engineering permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin candidates will be assessed on these
• Experience integrating and enhancing software tools and internal platforms
• Python scripting ability to build dashboards, automation, and API integrations
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps or DevSecOps practices
• Experience with security scanning or securing software delivery pipelines
• Working knowledge of Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones (U.S. and U.K.)

Preferred Skills

• AWS experience (cloud deployment, services) candidates will be assessed on AWS knowledge
• Familiarity with GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, or Nexus
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset or experience

Important Notes

• Interview process: First round phone screen, then technical in-person interview (90 minutes to 2 hours) hands-on keyboard assessment
• Interviews are scheduled in the AM (8:00 12:00) to accommodate the London-based portion of the team
• Candidates should be prepared to be assessed on Java and AWS knowledge
