Description

Help turn real-world radar data into production-ready sensing algorithms that power next-generation situational awareness systems.

MatrixSpace develops AI-enabled radar and sensing systems that help people understand what's happening in the world around them. By combining advanced radar, edge computing, and AI, we deliver situational awareness in environments where traditional sensing solutions struggle.

We're looking for a hands-on Radar Software Engineer to help improve radar system performance through data-driven analysis and algorithm development. You'll analyze radar data, prototype and validate new approaches, and implement production software while working closely with radar, software, and systems engineers.

If you're analytical, curious, and collaborative, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze radar data to improve system performance and algorithms
  • Develop C++ software for signal processing, detection, tracking, and control
  • Prototype algorithms in Python/MATLAB and transition them to production
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and visualization tools
  • Support software integration, testing, and field validation
  • Design experiments and performance metrics to guide development

What We're Looking For

This position requires working directly or indirectly with the US Government in restricted environments. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.

Required

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • Experience coding in C++and/or Python
  • Experience with Python for analysis, prototyping, or visualization
  • Experience working with real-time data and estimation algorithms
  • Strong object-oriented software design skills
  • Ability to design experiments and draw data-driven conclusions
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally (<10%)

Someone Who Will Thrive in This Role

  • Enjoys solving complex technical problems with data
  • Comfortable moving between research and production software
  • Takes ownership and iterates quickly
  • Works effectively across engineering disciplines
  • Balances experimentation with practical implementation
  • Loves building, tinkering, or exploring new technologies outside of work

Bonus Points

  • 2+ years of digital signal processing experience
  • Familiarity with radar or RF systems
  • Experience with point-cloud sensor data
  • Experience tuning Kalman filters or control systems
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2

At MatrixSpace, radar engineering is where cutting-edge sensing technology becomes real-world intelligence. You'll help advance the algorithms that power our systems so customers can better understand and respond to the world around them. If that sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
