Software Engineer –Remote
Location: Orlando, FL (Remote)
Duration: 12 months (Possible extension )
Pay rate range: $70 –$80/hr on w2 (All inclusive)
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced developer to fill a role on the New Business Funds (NBF) project team. The successful candidate will lead development efforts across the Microsoft Power Platform and .NET ecosystem, delivering plugins, custom PCF controls, Azure SQL integrations, virtual entities, and Power Automate flow enhancements. This role requires strong object oriented programming skills, a test first mindset, and the ability to bridge business and technical domains while supporting agile planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Development: Create, modify, and maintain C#/.NET plugins for Dynamics 365/Power Platform. Build custom PCF controls using React and TypeScript. Develop Azure SQL Database integration solutions, including stored procedures, APIs, and data sync logic. Implement and manage Virtual Entities and custom connectors. Design, modify, and optimize Power Automate flows.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve defects, performance issues, and production incidents. Prioritize work between defect remediation and new enhancements based on business impact.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in PI Planning, sprint preparation, and daily stand ups. Provide effort estimations (story pointing) and contribute to backlog grooming. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories.
  • Quality Assurance: Advocate a test first approach (unit testing, integration testing). Create and maintain automated test suites where applicable.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce concise technical design documents, implementation guides, and release notes. Document configuration settings, data models, and integration points.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring requirements are accurately captured and solutions are aligned with business goals.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years focused on the Microsoft Power Platform and .NET ecosystem.
Technical Skills:
  • C#/.NET (Core or Framework)
  • React & TypeScript (PCF control development)
  • Azure SQL Database (schema design, T SQL, stored procedures)
  • Power Automate (flow creation/modification) - Dynamics 365 / Power Apps (model driven, canvas, virtual entities)
  • Object Oriented Design principles & SOLID
Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.G., MSTest, NUnit, xUnit) and a test first development philosophy.
Agile Methodology Hands on experience in Scrum/SAFe environments –PI planning, sprint planning, story pointing, and backlog refinement.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills;ability to produce clear technical documentation and interact effectively with non technical stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and adapt priorities swiftly.
 
Preferred Skills
1. Azure Functions / Logic Apps for serverless integration.
2. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
3. Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, Azure AD).
4. Experience with version control (Git) and branching strategies.
5. Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, or .NET.
