Vice President, Engineering and Product Salary Range: $200k to $250k Position Overview A technology organization focused on advanced data security solutions is seeking a Vice President, Engineering and Product to lead integrated hardware and software strategy, product development, and engineering execution.
This executive role oversees roadmap development, agile delivery, and engagement with customers and partners across defense, intelligence, and enterprise environments. The position operates at the intersection of product management, engineering leadership, and mission delivery. Key Responsibilities Product and Technology Strategy
Define and lead integrated hardware and software product roadmaps aligned with market and customer requirements
Drive innovation in data-at-rest security, Zero Trust architectures, and edge computing environments
Lead and scale agile engineering teams across hardware, firmware, and software domains
Establish and maintain agile development processes to ensure predictable delivery and high-quality output
Oversee full product lifecycle, including concept, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment
Program and Execution Management
Align engineering execution with customer programs, delivery timelines, and compliance requirements
Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, product management, and partner teams
Ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and mission-ready solutions
External Engagement
Serve as a technical and strategic representative for solutions and capabilities
Engage with defense and intelligence stakeholders, system integrators, OEM partners, and industry organizations
Support participation in industry events, customer briefings, and strategic discussions
Required Qualifications
10+ years of leadership experience in engineering, product management, or technology strategy
Proven experience managing agile teams delivering complex hardware and software systems
Strong background in cybersecurity, encryption, or data protection technologies
Demonstrated experience developing and executing product roadmaps
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting defense or government programs
Familiarity with CSfC, National Security Systems, or related security frameworks
Experience with edge computing, embedded systems, or secure storage technologies
Background in defense, aerospace, or regulated technology markets
