Software Engineer 

Onsite Location: San Diego, CA

Required: US Citizenship 

No 1099, No third parties, no C2C. No exceptions (Sorry) W2 Hourly Contract Only

$50 - $72.50 per hour DOE

GeoLogics is seeking highly motivated, Software Engineer in San Diego, CA. This position requires onsite work and active engagement in cross‑discipline collaboration while supporting Agile software development cycles, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD‑driven integration activities.

Qualifications Required

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java 
• Experience with Linux development, debugging tools, and version control systems
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and working within iterative development teams

Desired Experience:

• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure software development principles
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar) 
• Familiarity with containerization, automated testing frameworks, or infrastructure-as-code
• Background with embedded systems, distributed systems, or real-time data processing
• Understanding of networking, sensor integration, or military navigation systems 
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Strong cross-team communication skills and ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug, and enhance software features for GPNTS tactical and support systems
• Participate in software design, including interface definitions and architectural discussions
• Investigate and resolve complex system-level issues involving software, networking, and sensor data
• Create and maintain automated tests, and support continuous integration pipelines
• Collaborate with systems engineering to verify requirements and ensure traceability
• Work within an Agile team, contributing to sprints, backlog refinement, and technical reviews
• Support DevSecOps processes including secure coding practices, automated builds, and continuous delivery
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in configuration/change management workflows
