About the Role
Varick is hiring Software Engineers to build the production agents that run inside enterprise operations at the
largest companies on the planet. You will work against audit specs provided by the Forward Deployed Engineer
team, ship code daily, and integrate with client systems of record such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and D365.
This is not a slot inside an existing team structure. You have enough experience to lead a small team within 6
months. If that is not obvious from the interview, you are not the hire.

What You'll Own

• Build production agents against audit specs handed over from the Forward Deployed Engineer team
• Ship client-specific deployments against existing systems of record (Salesforce, NetSuite, D365, comparable)
• Own code quality: real software engineering, no AI slop
• Take ownership across systems rather than waiting for someone to write a ticket
• Move toward leading a small team within 6 months of joining

Requirements

Must-Have

• 1-4 years of professional software engineering experience
• Real software engineering fundamentals: CS, systems thinking, shipping production code that stands up
• without being brittle. Not learned to code in the Vibe-coding era only.
• AI-native: has been built with Claude, Codex, agent frameworks, or API loops. Real production work, not vibeprompted
• side projects.
• Low ego with high feedback velocity: hears feedback once, integrates it, moves on
• Speed: moves fast, ships fast
• Ambiguity tolerance: does not wait for someone to write a ticket
• Based in SF or willing to relocate. 5 days a week in-person.

Nice-to-Have
Top startup pedigree: Ramp, Cursor, xAI, or other top AI-native startups
Selectively considered: Amazon
College grads who are from a top-tier firm or have serious project work to show
Prior agent infrastructure or LLM application experience
Active GitHub or open source contributions
