This position is with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics F-22 Communication Software team in Ft. Worth, Texas. As the Software Technical Lead, you will serve as the technical authority for software development activities across the portfolio. You will provide strategic technical leadership, drive software architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions supporting one of the world''s most advanced fighter aircraft platforms. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary software engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with engineering and software standards, and successful program execution.

Required to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle and ensure the standards are met.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret security clearance to start.*

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, or mission-critical operational systems
• Familiarity or experience in systems engineering processes and technical development life cycles
• Experience leading technical development teams
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, ADA

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of aircraft vehicle systems, avionics systems or operations
• Technical planning and execution of complex systems
• Working knowledge of the F-22 platform, architecture and systems
• Experience with Communication, Navigation, and IFF systems
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development
• Experience with GitLab repository, Confluence, JIRA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00
