Software Engineer Team Leader

Pay Rate: $80.00 - $86.00per hr.
Our client needs a highly organized, technically strong Software Engineer Team Lead to drive security vulnerability remediation across consumer origination applications. The applications support external-facing digital experiences such as checking and savings account openings and credit card applications. The role will coordinate remediation across multiple development teams while remaining technically capable of troubleshooting, reviewing code, and performing hands-on remediation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and organize security remediation across five teams within the origination space.
Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate vulnerabilities involving source code, APIs, authentication, base/container images, and data obfuscation.
Perform security-focused code reviews and help identify root causes.
Coordinate with other teams when remediation requires changes outside the application code.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on troubleshooting.
Organize remediation priorities and maintain a clear path toward resolution.
Help ensure security concerns are fully remediated within required timelines.
Coordinate work across full-time employees and consultants.
Required Skills:
5+ years of software engineering experience; approximately 7 years is typical for the lead-level designation.
Strong C# / .NET development experience, including .NET 10.
Experience with React.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and ability to work across different pipeline technologies.
Experience with SQL Server.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform security-related code reviews and vulnerability remediation.
Strong organizational, mentoring, communication, and cross-team leadership skills.
Ability to remain hands-on while primarily serving as a technical leader.
Preferred Qualifications
Harness experience nice to have, not required.
OpenShift/Kubernetes experience nice to have, not required.
FHIR experience.
Application security/cybersecurity experience.
Strong vulnerability remediation background.
Banking, financial services, digital banking, cards, payments, or retail banking experience.

Team Lead Expectations
The role is expected to be approximately 75% leadership, mentoring, organization, and coordination and 25% hands-on coding, although the balance may vary. The lead will coordinate work across both consultants and full-time employees.
The ideal candidate is someone who can understand the technology and code, analyze security vulnerabilities, guide engineers toward solutions, and organize multiple teams to drive remediation through completion.
