The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support a leading organization in the Electronic Systems industry. This role focuses on embedded software development and engineering research/product development supporting advanced defense and electronic systems.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in C++ and embedded systems, along with experience working in secure, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support embedded software solutions for complex electronic systems
  • Define technical problems, conduct research, and analyze engineering requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across multiple disciplines
  • Develop and maintain software in compliance with system and security requirements
  • Support product development lifecycle activities including design, testing, and integration
  • Analyze system performance and implement improvements
  • Document technical solutions, designs, and engineering processes
  • Ensure compliance with security and quality standards in a cleared environment
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of experience
    OR Master’s degree with 13+ years of experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance (required to start)
  • Strong experience in C++ development
  • Experience with embedded systems software development
  • Ability to work in a secure, defense-related environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VxWorks or real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Background in electronic warfare (EW) systems (a plus)
  • Experience working in defense or aerospace environments
  • Strong understanding of software lifecycle and systems engineering
  • Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
