Our program provides solutions in the Overhead Persistent-Infrared Missile Warning domain. We maintain and enhance Lockheed Martin's world class heritage solutions in the planning, tasking, and ground systems which are relied upon by today's warfighters. Additionally, we are active in creating mission solutions necessary for the proliferated space era.

We are seeking an Associate Software Manager to help lead Project Engineers and Control Account Managers in the Software/Infrastructure domain in the Overhead Persistent Infrared business. This is a MID-SENIOR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in leading cross functional teams to complete large projects. Could be managing projects/deliverables or managing teams.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management Accounting.
• Deep financial acumen and the proven ability to use data to tell a story.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver results in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, with a strong track record of achieving goals and meeting deadlines in dynamic and rapidly changing situations.
• Technical acumen, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to act as a change agent - e.g., galvanizing teams around new process, systems, etc.
• No clearance required prior to start however must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience in the aerospace industry. Bonus if experience is with telemetry, digital signal processing, orbital analysis or mission processing.
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience in building and leading high performing teams. Experience with expanding teams by hiring the right talent to support multiple programs.
• Experience using AI to gain efficiency in completing work.
• Experience in fields tangential to Software Engineering - e.g. - DevSecOps, Hardware Engineering, Cyber Security.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
