As the Software Engineering Director, you oversee engineering capabilities within PNC's Technology organization.

In this role, you will strategically lead and scale enterprise-wide engineering capabilities with a primary focus on security. You will be responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of secure platforms, applications, and tools that protect and enhance our organization's digital and physical assets.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for security engineering platforms and services.
  • Lead large-scale, complex application development initiatives aligned with business and cybersecurity goals.
  • Drive innovation across security technologies, including automation, cloud security, and platform modernization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, IT partners, and security stakeholders.
  • Influence security strategy, risk posture, and investment prioritization.

Job Description

  • Directs all activities and initiatives related to application services for an entire organization or for major clients.
  • Directs and manages the delivery of large or complex application development projects. Defines strategies and client needs focused on technology development.
  • Maintains relationships with clients; communicates with IT and business management. Monitors prompt response and support for technical issues.
  • Ensures high standards and quality of technical work. Directs reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.
  • Directs, motivates, develops and manages the performance of the management team and key staff.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $143,000.00 - $297,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
