About the Role

Were looking for Software Engineering Interns to join our team for a summer internship. Youll work alongside experienced engineers to build real features that impact our members, gaining hands-on experience across the full stack. This isnt a side project internship-youll contribute meaningful code to our production platform from day one.

This opportunity is based at Ranges Headquarters in McLean, VA. This is a part-time in-office position.

What Youll Do

• Build and ship features across our web platform alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers

• Write clean, well-tested code that contributes to a secure, scalable production environment

• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and engineering team rituals

• Learn and apply engineering best practices in a fast-paced startup setting

• Take ownership of an intern project with real user impact, presenting your work to the team at the end of the program

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028)

• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages

• Eagerness to work across the stack-frontend, backend, and infrastructure

• Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity for learning new technologies quickly

• Excellent product instincts-you think about users first, not just the most elegant technical solution

• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment where you wont always be told exactly what to do

Bonus Points

• Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript

• Exposure to Node.js or server-side JavaScript

• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms

• Personal projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon experience

• Interest in fintech or financial services
