    Description:Software Engineering Manager for the Core Processing Software Team (F35)

    Responsibilities include:

    • CPSW program work force management (reassignments/placements, recruitment, selection of new employees, and terminations)
    • Personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance/compensation, and promotions)
    • Management responsibility will include collaboration with F35 teams, Aeronautics Programs, and other Business Units. The successful candidate will be expected to support communications with all levels of employees, customers, and industry from engineer to executive. Strong skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication , building collaborative relationships and other 'soft skills' are desired.
    • Support pursuit and management of technology roadmaps

    A level 5 employee

    Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

    Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. aerosw

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or above in a STEM field or equivalent experience/combined education
    • Experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or related field
    • Experience in Project Management
    • Experience leading Agile development
    • Technical leadership experience with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience shaping and leading a diverse team in a dynamic business environment
    • Experience in C++, OOA/OOD, Eclipse IDE,

    and Atlassian tool suite

    • Experience preparing and delivering briefings

    to leadership

    • Experience as a CAM and related CAM tools
    • Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships
    • DevSecOps experience and knowledge
    • Excellent presentation skills and must be able to convey focused messages to internal senior leadership and external customers
    • Experience developing detailed plans in support of technical assignments
    • Knowledge of Agile Software Development
    • Knowledge of JIRA, Bitbucket, UML, Rhapsody, C++, Linux, and DOORS
    • Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience working in technical teams across a virtual environment
    • Experience with proposal management
    • Understanding of Software and Systems engineering processes
    • Knowledge and understanding of Software Metrics

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
