- Compensation: Up to $160,000 per year + 8% annual bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture
- Conduct regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support career development
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent
- Drive rapid, iterative delivery using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Champion proof-of-concepts and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Product, Design, Business, and Executive stakeholders
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused communication
- Review code and provide technical guidance to the team
- Balance speed with quality while maintaining sustainable pace
- Drive urgency and maintain momentum on key initiatives
- Remove blockers, manage capacity planning, and optimize delivery processes
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding skills
- 4+ years managing software engineering teams in on-shore, near-shore, and offshore environments
- Proficiency in modern programming languages - React, Javascript, TypeScript, NodeJS
- Advanced proficiency with AWS
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design
- Solid grasp of CI/CD, testing strategies, and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication skills across all levels (written, verbal, presentations)
- Familiarity with offline-first architecture and IoT integration a plus
