We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to act as a subject matter expert within Software Engineering.
You will work in Newtown, PA and various long-term unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities
Implement and design software including but not limited to applications based on: event driven architecture, asynchronous message oriented architecture, and standard client-server architecture, which entails overseeing the analysis of user requirements to improve release cadence and software quality, identifying leverage points to preserve quality of the application, reviewing feedbacks from applicable stakeholders to determine production eligibility, serving as a technology subject matter expert, performing system analysis and design of the key solutions, analyzing risks and suggesting avoidance activities, establishing contingency plans, and forming backup/ workaround solutions and corrective actions
Directly communicate with clients business department
Manage client escalations and act as an expert point of evaluation of operations-related services
Lead all phases of a project lifecycle from definition and requirements development to launch, and through production
Utilize different software development methodologies, processes, techniques, and quality planning methods in all phases of work
Requirements
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Technology, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Design and Technology, Information Science, Management in Technology, IT Management, Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, Radiophysics, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related discipline
5+ years of employment experience in the job offered (Software Engineering Manager), Software Engineering Team Leader, Systems Engineering Manager, Systems Engineering Team Leader, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Project Manager, Application Development Team Lead, Testing Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Application Support Engineer, Computer Programmer, IT Developer, Technical Lead, or closely related occupation
At least one of the following cloud services, web technologies, and database technologies: GCP, Azure, AWS, or .NET
At least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Golang, or Swift
At least one of the following SCM tools: Git or Docker
Experience using Agile methodology to guide software development processes, techniques, and quality planning across all phases of work
