Job Description
This role involves integrating, testing, and troubleshooting radar software to ensure optimal system performance in various operating environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in shipyard environment
- Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate radar software functionality and performance.
- Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
- Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
- Support field installations and trials, as necessary, to ensure successful system deployment.
Required Skill Sets:
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software integration, development, or testing, preferably in radar systems or embedded systems.
- Experience with high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash.
- Experience with Linux and the command line interface.
- Experience with software debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g., GDB, Wireshark, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems like Jira, Git or Rational Clearcase.
- Active and transferable U.S.
government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Education Level Required:
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
