PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Integration Technical Lead in Fort Worth, TX for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Software Integration Technical Lead will guide software integration, troubleshooting, debugging, automation tooling, and infrastructure improvements for mission-critical aerospace systems. This role supports aircraft flight software, simulated mission systems, and laboratory environments that combine constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system-level models. The position requires strong C++, Python, Linux, hardware integration, software debugging, and technical leadership experience.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
Equivalent experience may include at least 14 years of professional development experience.
6+ years of C++ programming experience.
4+ years of Python programming experience.
6+ years of Linux experience.
6+ years of software debugging experience.
3+ years of hardware troubleshooting or hardware integration experience.
3+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Ability to work at a facility requiring special access.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with software integration, debugging, and system-level testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with scripting and automation languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Knowledge of aircraft or mission system software development cycles.
Exposure to simulated environments and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Experience with mission-system software or high-fidelity simulation software.
Experience with architectural decision-making, performance profiling, and integration standards.
What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a team of integration engineers.
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best-practice standards.
Develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and debug software across aircraft, simulation, and lab platforms.
Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable builds.
Architect and enhance virtual development labs and aircraft-software processes.
Design and implement automation tools using open-source, commercial, and in-house solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional technical efforts with mission-system experts, simulation specialists, and stakeholder groups.
Serve as a technical liaison across customers, partners, and internal teams.
Pay
$30.00 - $105.00 per hour
