    The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. Come be a part of the development of the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW). Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects.

    This position is for a Software Manager supporting the LRHW program. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and in team environments, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Technical background in Software Engineering.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
    • Experience with planning and coordinating software development activities in a team-oriented environment.
    • Knowledgeable in formal Software Engineering Process and Tools, including experience in executing in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
    • Experience in leading technical meetings and independent software code reviews for software development efforts.
    • Experience presenting to program leadership and to the customer in formal reviews and meetings.
    • Willingness to learn cost account management principles, techniques, and processes.
    • Final Secret Clearance is required prior to start; US citizenship is required.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience in Planning - Staff, SW Dev tools, and maintaining Software Development Plans (SDP).
    • Experience supporting technical performance of the project through control activities including reviews, metric data collection, identifying corrective actions and ensuring implementation.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
