AI Commercialization Team Software & Systems Architect. This role combines AI/autonomy technical leadership, software productization, and technology commercialization. Applies technical judgment to advance emerging capabilities from prototype, MVP, or demonstration to production-ready, scalable, repeatable solutions; assesses technical readiness, integration maturity, deployment risk, and paths to operational use.

Supports customer solutioning, product and commercialization strategy, technical proposals, and capture activities through technically grounded recommendations. Partners across engineering, product, finance, legal/compliance, partnerships, and business stakeholders to inform technical, product, investment, and delivery decisions.

• Assesses software productization, production readiness, scalability, integration, and deployment of AI/autonomy capabilities.
• Evaluates technical feasibility, delivery risk, and build/buy/partner or make-or-buy tradeoffs, including platform, vendor, and technology-selection decisions.
• Supports prototype-to-production, MVP-to-production, and pilot-to-scale pathways, including capability packaging, demonstrations, and solution definition.
• Provides technical input to commercialization strategy, product strategy, business cases, investment decisions, technical proposals, and customer solutioning.

Defines the architecture of autonomous components of LM products or platforms from concept to specifications, recommending and making technical decisions on techniques, and solutions, and how solutions will be integrated and deployed with other systems to meet customer requirements.Provides architectural guidance on autonomous systems on or across project team(s); Defines hardware, software, and systems architecture for (significant components of) autonomous product(s) and platform(s); Interfaces with stakeholders and translates customer requirements into high level technical specifications; Determines technical standards and requirements for software, hardware/tools, and platforms; Participates in architecture reviews and ensures that technical standards and requirements address user needs and constraints; Develops, analyzes, documents technical specifications, and decides on components and design of software, hardware, and system(s); Recommends alternatives to meet or enhance ability to meet requirements for human-machine and/or machine-machine teaming; Defines, communicates, and enforces design standards for autonomy-related components

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in a technical capacity involving requirements definition, design decisions, technical tradeoffs, or architecture recommendations.

• Experience applying AI/ML, systems engineering, autonomy, robotics, software, or other related technologies in a complex engineering, program, venture capital, sales, or related environment.

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant field.

• Eligible for a U.S. Secret or higher security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience with software productization, technology commercialization, commercial software/product development, or technical evaluation in a venture capital or investment environment, including moving prototypes, MVPs, or emerging capabilities toward production-ready, scalable, repeatable products or solutions.

• Experience evaluating build/buy/partner, make-or-buy, platform, vendor, and technology-selection decisions, including cost, scalability, integration, time-to-market, technical risk, and total cost of ownership.

• Experience supporting product and commercialization strategy, including product or capability positioning, business cases, investment decisions, product roadmaps, market/application fit, or pathways to scale.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $150800.00 - $280000.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $135700.00 - $251900.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $120600.00 - $224000.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $108600.00 - $201600.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.
