Software Quality Engineer

Summary

Our client is seeking an SQE Consultant to support application quality through automated testing with primary emphasis on Playwright, using Java. This role will work within an Agile/Scrum team, collaborating closely with product owners, developers, and other QA Team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Java.
• Analyze requirements to ensure adequate test coverage across smoke, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot defects.
• Participate in Scrum events and contribute to test strategy, planning, and test case design.
• Maintain automated scripts in an IDE and utilize CI/CD pipelines for test workflows.

Requirements

• Proven success as an SQE or Test Automation Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience using Playwright or Selenium with Java.
• Core understanding of Java and Git version control.
• Solid grasp of testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience writing clear, maintainable, reusable automated test code.
• Comfortable working independently as a consultant on a cross-functional team.

Preferred

• Web/API testing experience and exposure to Postman.
• IntelliJ or Kiro IDE experience.
• Proficiency in standard SQL queries.
