Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products. Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware in the loop systems. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes. Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes. Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation. Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements. Reviews include requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

• US Citizenship required and active Top Secret clearance with the ability to attain SCI to support the program
• STEM Bachelor's degree or higher required to apply Or combined experience/education
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle models
• Software Quality, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering Familiarity in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test
• Ability to interpret software design and code (C, C++, Java, python, etc.)
• Some travel may be required for this position (Up to 25%)

• Agile/Lean Development Experience- Support software development teams operating under various Agile frameworks.

• Quality Systems Knowledge- Thorough understanding of internal quality processes and external quality standards.

• Toolset Expertise- Hands‑on experience with software development and planning tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Code Collaborator.

• Process & Product Evaluation- Conduct assessments to verify compliance, effectiveness, and continuous‑improvement opportunities.

• Review Product Requirements for Quality

• Trace Product Requirements through Design, Implementation, Test

• Understand Models Ensuring Requirement Coverage

• Review Code/Tests Ensuring Requirement Coverage

• Ensure Adequate Program Configuration Management/Software Configuration Management Processes In Place

• Knowledge of AI tools/methods to Positively Impact Daily Task Execution

• Software Development Experience Using Python, Java, C++ Languages

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
