Software Quality Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software by developing and executing effective testing strategies across the development lifecycle. They will partner with engineering and product teams to identify defects early, improve system reliability, and support scalable, user-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage test strategies, plans, and quality checkpoints across the software lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain reusable test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and edge scenarios.
• Execute manual and automated testing across Web and API layers including exploratory testing.
• Document, track, and manage defects through resolution using standard tools.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify risks and improve testability during sprints and code reviews.
• Use AI-driven tools to improve testing efficiency including test generation and defect analysis.
• Validate AI-driven features and workflows through structured and exploratory testing approaches.
• Generate reporting on defects and quality trends to support continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software quality engineering or a related QA role.
• Extensive experience creating test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases.
• Experience with defect tracking and lifecycle management tools including Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with test management tools including Xray, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
• Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with API testing tools including Postman, REST-based tools, or similar.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks including Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with version control systems including Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience using Playwright for automation.
