Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Software Scientist to support the Corpus Christi Army Depot. This position is located in Corpus Christi, TX.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Support CREATE Lab repair, development, and reverse engineering efforts.
Integration of diverse databases combining parts, technical data, repair, and overhaul information.
Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency in reviews of maintenance and overhaul plans, parts research, and trend analysis.
Extract data from various databases and analyze trends.
Work in a team environment with close coordination between engineers, programmers, analysts, and management.
Remain informed on emerging technologies and best practices to improve development processes continuously.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
A minimum of three (3) years of programming/engineering experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D scanning, reverse engineering, repair development, technical data package generation, and additive manufacturing.
Object-oriented programming language experience.
SQL Database experience.
Power BI or alternative Data Visualization tools experience.
