AI Enablement Engineer
REMOTE 
Duration: 9 months plus extensions 

Seeking a hands-on Toolkit Platform and AI Enablement Engineer to own and modernize a shared platform supporting distributed AI infrastructure programs.
This role combines platform engineering, AI-agent enablement, knowledge management, and secure enterprise integration. You will maintain a working toolkit ecosystem while transforming it into a version-controlled, secure, measurable, and accessible platform that can be used by technical and nontechnical team members.
This is not a strategy-only or advisory position. The primary deliverables are working code, reliable releases, secure integrations, and documentation that users can follow without engineering assistance.
 

What You Will Do

Maintain and Extend the Platform

• Automate AI, and setup authentication and security 
• Experience with Claude and anthropic is helpful
• We have our Github repository 
• Github experience and best practices and how to deploy it is needed
• We have all the agents open to everyone 
  Need someone to start sectioning users as and setting up authentication  
• Someone who has knowledge of creating agents is helpful

 

• Support and enhance a shared Python toolkit library used for pricing, deployment workflows, reporting, dashboards, and reference architectures.
• Maintain integrations with SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other enterprise systems.
• Keep existing workflows running reliably while platform modernization is underway.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve the stability, observability, and maintainability of the platform.

Introduce GitHub, CI, and Packaged Releases

• Migrate an existing shared codebase into GitHub while maintaining appropriate attribution and traceability.
• Design a practical repository structure, branching model, release process, and contribution workflow.
• Build CI pipelines for testing, validation, security scanning, and release packaging.
• Establish a clear technical boundary between reusable code and confidential business data.
• Ensure customer data, pricing information, deal content, credentials, knowledge-base content, and generated outputs never enter source control.
• Implement automated controls that detect secrets, sensitive files, and prohibited content before code can be committed or released.
• Create an installation and configuration experience that works on a fresh machine without direct engineering support.

Expand Access to the Knowledge Base

• Turn an established markdown-based knowledge repository into a secure retrieval and contribution surface for the broader team.
• Support multi-user contributions in a SharePoint-synchronized environment.
• Maintain permissions for restricted and team-scoped content.
• Build grounded retrieval workflows that cite the source page used for each answer.
• Incorporate source confidence, provenance, and freshness into retrieval behavior.
• Design the system to clearly communicate when the available sources do not support an answer.
• Make ingestion and retrieval usable by team members who do not write code.

Enable the Team

• Translate complex platform capabilities into clear business outcomes, including faster pricing, reduced deployment risk, improved consistency, and reclaimed working hours.
• Gather the business decision behind requests before implementing a dashboard, script, workflow, or data field.
• Share early working versions, incorporate feedback, and document decisions.
• Create concise design documents, operating procedures, release notes, and user-facing runbooks.
• Help technical and nontechnical users adopt the platform safely and independently.

Required Qualifications

Claude Code and Agentic Development

• Deep, hands-on experience building with Claude Code.
• Practical experience with skills, sub-agents, instruction files, hooks, permissions, connectors, and MCP.
• Strong understanding of context-window behavior, token usage, tool invocation, and progressive disclosure.
• Ability to demonstrate systems you have built, not only tools you have used.

GitHub and Continuous Integration

• Experience migrating an established body of work into version control.
• Ability to design repository structures, branching strategies, contribution models, and release processes.
• Experience building automated test, validation, packaging, and security controls.
• Strong understanding of secret detection, data-loss prevention, configuration management, and artifact distribution.
• Ability to keep code, credentials, configuration, enterprise data, and generated outputs separated by design.

Python Engineering

• Python development and testing experience is helpful
• Ability to build reliable pipelines using the Python standard library where practical.

AI Systems and Retrieval-Augmented Generation

• Demonstrated delivery experience with agentic systems and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Ability to define effective boundaries among agents, tools, data, and human approvals.
• Experience grounding generated answers in cited enterprise sources.
• Understanding of confidence handling, access-controlled retrieval, and abstention behavior.
• Experience measuring and improving the operating cost or runtime of AI-enabled systems.

Security and Data Handling

• Experience working with confidential business, customer, pricing, or commercial information.
• Strong understanding of least-privilege access, secure credential storage, and data-boundary enforcement.
• Ability to treat access as explicitly granted rather than assumed.
• Experience preventing sensitive information from entering repositories, logs, build artifacts, or releases.
• Commitment to keeping credentials in approved secure storage rather than local files.
