Software Test Engineer II

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your experience in testing software for tactical strike guided munition programs. Primary Responsibilities

• Participate as an integral team member in test planning, strategy and design, test execution, and software engineering processes.
• Review, edit, and generate various documents used for engineering and testing purposes per industry standards.
• Communicate frequently with software developers and other team members.
• Learn from more senior test engineers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• At least 2 years of relevant technical experience with a BS degree.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Proven experience performing software tests on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with software test automation.
• Proficiency in software development using C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and government customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing user interface (UI) tests with automated UI testing technologies.
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards (IEEE 12207, CMMI, DO-178C and/or DO-278, MIL-STD-882e, RMF).
• Ability to work across multiple products under development by multiple small teams.
• Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and application.
• Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices technology.
• Experience testing guidance & control algorithms, navigation systems, mission planning systems (NOMS, JMPS), and sensors.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
• Understanding of hardware-software integration and software systems engineering principles.
