Title: Software Test Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated quality assurance professional to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, Agile environment where you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of cutting-edge cloud-based web applications. You will leverage your deep expertise in test automation, API testing, and integration testing to design and implement robust testing frameworks while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA analysts, and product managers. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. This position requires working onsite at our Memphis office at least two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG
- Build and implement SQL queries and validate databases using automation tools
- Blend automated and manual testing strategies to ensure comprehensive end-to-end functional coverage without compromising quality
- Perform hands-on testing of Microservices and REST APIs, including automation and integration testing
- Review requirements and design documents to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test strategies, and accurate work execution estimates
- Utilize the Atlassian toolset, including Jira, Confluence, Stash, and Bamboo, for project management, defect tracking, and documentation
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define test coverage needs
- Drive defect triage and risk escalation within Agile and Scrum development processes
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely in Jira and Confluence, with effective escalation of test results
- Coordinate test support activities between US and remote testing teams as needed
- Apply critical thinking to translate complex application flows into well-structured test cases
- Perform root-cause analysis and leverage data-driven problem-solving and debugging skills to support solutions using underlying data
- Execute integration tests with a solid understanding of application systems and their interdependencies
- Apply AI-enabled capabilities to support manual, automation, and integration testing efforts
Skills:
- Proficiency in test automation using Selenium Java, Rest Assured, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman, Ready API, and REST/JSON APIs
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to build queries and validate databases through automation
- Hands-on experience with Microservice and REST API testing, including automation and integration
- Proficiency with the Atlassian toolset including Jira, Confluence, Stash, and Bamboo
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
- Knowledge of cloud-based web application architecture with emphasis on AWS Cloud
- Understanding of deployment technologies and cloud infrastructure
- Detailed understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Front-end UI knowledge including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with AI-enabled testing capabilities
- Knowledge of the hospitality domain is a plus
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional work experience in the design of automated test frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium and REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG
- Experience applying AI-enabled capabilities to support manual, automation, and integration testing efforts
